Dr. Mark Radcliffe

Trustee

Having grown up in Stockport, famous for a big brick viaduct, I went to medical school in Sheffield. Having survived that experience, I moved to Leeds and specialised in psychiatry and psychotherapy. I first came into contact with the Sacred Space Foundation in 2005, coming into retreat at Emmers Farm with Jeannie, in the beautiful Lake District. It was and continues to be a transforming experience. I went on to do the Interfaith Seminary training (now One Spirit) and started to help out at the Sacred Space retreats on Iona and Glenthorne. I have run spiritual retreats with NHS staff at Parcevall Hall and continue to run Mindfulness retreats at Launde Abbey, Ammerdown and Glenthorne. I am now retired from the NHS and have relocated to the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. When not helping out at Sacred Space or looking after aging relatives, I love walking in the woods and hills, feeding the birds and red squirrels and watching films. I did like gardening but everything seems to either get eaten or blown over here!

All of his current work emerged after several years of living and volunteering at the Sacred Space Foundation where he stayed put long enough to let the slow work of transformation take root. Kristopher still makes yearly pilgrimages to The Sacred Space Foundation and his ancestral homelands of England and Scotland to connect and support the work of the foundation. He currently serves as a dream worker (online and in-person) and wilderness guide and accepts clients through Remembering Earth.
